Billing

Ease of use and increased speed are the goals of the AMS billing module. On a daily basis, you can enter charges, record patient and EOMB payments, and print Statements of Charge. The patient billing module can access company-wide inventory availability. The system also references third party fee schedules and pricing requirements automatically based upon options set in the Patient Master Record.

Inventory Control

Bar code scanning can be utilized to keep track of your inventory in addition to manual entry. Fully integrated with the billing system, the inventory module will quickly and accurately determine the charges for specific items directly from the inventory database. Breakage can also be monitored by simply scanning a barcode. The inventory is instantly updated and the breakage data is recorded.

Insurance Processing

Remember those long hours of hand writing forms, trying to figure out which insurance carrier is the primary payor, when to bill the secondary company, and how much of the charges will be covered by each policy? The AMS insurance module will take care of those tasks and many more. Here are some of the functions it handles:

• Insurance Forms - With a simple key press, all of your insurance forms for the day can be printed or transmitted.
• Fee Schedules - The program is capable of implementing different fee schedules for each insurance company. This will allow you to bill the patient for his/her portion of the charges at the time of the appointment, rather than waiting for remittance from the insurance company and billing the patient the remainder.
• Unbilled Claims Reporting - With this report, you will never have to worry about forgetting to file an insurance form. A thorough list can be generated by answering just a few simple questions.
• Unpaid Claims Reporting -Keeping track of unremitted claims can be time-consuming as well as costly. This report prints out a detailed list of all the information your staff will need to track down the money your practice has been denied.
• Electronic Claims - By leveraging the power of a national clearinghouse for medical claims submission, the AMS software provides the ability to transmit to a central processing center, covering a comprehensive list of payor destinations.
